National Careers Service- Support for Parents, Carers and Pupils

We appreciate that it can be an unsettling time for many of your students leaving education this year, with potential questions on what the impact of Covid-19 might be on their immediate options and longer term career plans. In response to this the National Careers Service has adapted its services but remains open and providing free and impartial careers information, advice and guidance. We can also help in supporting your students explore options following exam results or if their exams have been cancelled. The service is available to anyone aged 13 and over and in addition to any internal careers support you provide we can also offer free and impartial advice over the phone, via the internet or webchat.

This service is also available to the parents and carers of your students who might have questions. To make a free appointment with one of our professional careers advisers call 0800 100 900. Telephone lines are open 7 days per week from 8am-10pm.

I attach a flyer which you might wish to circulate remotely to leavers and their parents and carers which provides further information on the services that the National Careers Service is able to provide.
