Following a very successful residential summer school last year, I’m delighted to inform you that we are offering this once again for 2018. The summer school will be running from Monday 9 July to Thursday 12 July 2018 and is aimed at your current year 12 students, who have the potential and the intention of progressing into Higher Education. More information can be found here – www.tees.ac.uk/summerschool
We would like to offer your students the opportunity to apply for a place. We will be providing places to students across the county and places will be allocated via an application process, we anticipate a high demand and sadly not all students who apply will be guaranteed a place. I have attached the application form to this email for your information. Please share this with your students.
The summer school will involve challenging academic sessions and project work, along with some really great social activities. Students will be staying in our Central Halls accommodation on campus and working with current students to gain a real university experience. It is a great opportunity to try out a subject area, experience the university, develop skills and provide great experience for a UCAS form.
The Year 12 Residential Summer School is completely FREE to the students, including accommodation, food, equipment and social activities and we will look to provide some assistance for travel to and from the summer school.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me . We will inform you and the student if they have a place on the summer school after assessment of their application. This information will be released after the deadline for applications, Friday 4 May.
