University of Salford (Autumn Events)

I just wanted to get in touch with you regarding what the University of Salford has to offer your students during the Autumn term so we can help and support them and you as much as possible during this term.

Lunchtime Advice and Guidance Sessions

We will be running live online advice and guidance sessions starting the week of 21st September. These will run every Tuesday (12pm-1pm) and Thursday (1pm-2pm) with lots of opportunities to ask questions throughout each session. Students can book for any sessions they are interested in through the links below. The full programme of events for September and October can be seen at https://www.salford.ac.uk/schools-and-colleges/online-presentations-and-events

Supporter Twilight Sessions (could parents please be signposted to in any e mails sent?)

Every Wednesday at 6.30pm throughout October we will be running a twilight session specifically for supporters to come and ask any questions they might have about the University of Salford. We will be starting each of these with an overview of student finance followed by a general Q&A. Supporters can book for any sessions they are interested in through the links below. The full programme of events can also be seen at https://www.salford.ac.uk/schools-and-colleges/online-presentations-and-events

Video Content

We have also created a range of videos providing advice and guidance which learners can access at their own convenience. These, along with information on our live presentations are available on our webpages and cover a wide range of topics including the application process, personal statements, student finance and life at university.

Prospectuses

In the absence of live events taking place if you would like a box (or more) of prospectuses then we would be happy to get these delivered to you. Please e mail the number of boxes you require (40 per box).

Nations and Regions: Media Futures 2020

As part of BBC Digital Cities, we have produced a series of online Nations and Regions: Media Futures events. Each one offers the chance to find out more about a range of media issues and projects and hear from those who work in the media industry, whether they are seasoned professionals or just starting out. These free events are taking place between 22-24 September and would be ideal for any students considering a career within the media. Full details of what’s on and booking details can be found at https://www.salford.ac.uk/nations-and-regions-2020
