Reaching out to parents is key to supporting young people with career decisions.  A lot of parents are not clear about apprenticeships – the opportunities, the different levels, and the application processes amongst other things.  We would like to invite your parents to join us for a session which takes them through this process.

On Wednesday 3rd February we will be talking to current apprentices and hearing presentations from local organisations, including West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City College. We hope that the session will help to demystify apprenticeships and push home the benefits that they can bring.  Our event has a particular focus on STEM although much of the information will be relevant to anyone considering an apprenticeship.

The timing of the event is important because the following week is National Apprenticeship Week – getting your parents along to our event will put them in a better position to support their sons and daughters during National Apprenticeship Week and more generally as they consider their future career options.

The session will take place on Zoom on Wednesday 3rd February, 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Please share this information with them and ask them to register at:
