Virtual Future Programmes 

  

Future Programmes is a mix of topics designed and delivered by leading academics for students considering university/higher education (HE).  

 

Each 4-session series will help: 

  • – to engage, inspire, and inform participants about HE 
  • – to highlight future career opportunities 
  • – to gain an insight and understanding into the subject matter itself for study here at the University of Bradford.

    The Health & Life Science Professionals programme has been created to be accessible to a wide audience and those who may be interested in:  

    Archaeology, Biological & Medicinal Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Forensic & Medical science, Forensic Archaeology & Anthropology, Healthcare Science, Optometry, Pharmacy and Clinical Sciences 

    This Autumn, the Future Programmes will include:

  • – Mini MBA 
  • – Future Psychologists 
  • – Future Creative 
  • – Future Data Hackers 
  • – Future Lawyers 

    Bookings are being taken now for the following Programme: 

    Future Health and Science Professionals: 

    Wednesday 22nd September 16:30 – 17:30 – Alternatives to Medicine: Dr Matt Farrow  

    Wednesday 29th September 16:30 – 17:30 – Technology Enhanced Learning: Dr Keren Bielby-Clarke  

    Wednesday 6th October 16:30 – 17:45 – Experimental design and Statistics: Dr Andrew Tedder  

    Wednesday 13th October 16:30 – 17:45 – Research the Future – 3 inspirational talks from Professors in the Faculty: 
  • – Sustainable healthy life and personalised therapeutics – Prof Sherif El-Khamisy  
  • – What does your skin say about you? – Dr Julie Thornton  
  • – Become a next generation life sciences entrepreneur – Prof Paul Thorning  

    All participants who complete the full programme of 4 sessions will receive 8 points** towards their UCAS tariff for future study at the University of Bradford as an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Life Sciences. 

    Excluded programmes: Foundation Clinical Sciences & Optometry
