Webinars for students interested in Medicine, Dentistry & Pharmacy – reasonable costs apply

Feb 9th 2021 – 6.30pm ‘Applying for Dentistry‘

March 9th 2021 – 6pm – ‘Applying for Pharmacy’

Our ‘Applying for Medicine’ course on our next date of the 21st of March at 5pm has availability.

Our webinars are for students looking to apply for high application courses such as Medicine, Dentistry & Pharmacy. The medicine and dentistry courses are 3 hours long and our content  focuses on drafting a strong UCAS personal statement, how to prepare for interviews (particularly MMI’s), gaining work experience, and advice and tips on admissions tests (UCAT and BMAT). Our aim is to give the students an understanding of the areas they should be focusing on and how to make them as strong as possible to give them the best chance of getting a place at medical/dental/pharmacy school.

Our courses have a diverse range of fantastic speakers who are specialists in advising students on their UCAS applications. Our team includes UCAS admissions experts, current university students who excelled in the application process and will share their top tips and their ‘do’s and don’ts.’ In addition, we have a team of qualified professionals who will be giving their advice on the application process as well as discussing current hot topics and their experience of life after qualification.

The courses are interactive and the students can ask questions to any of our speakers. Our courses always have great feedback from the students and teachers.

Full details on dates and prices can be found on our web-site under each course www.apply4uni.co.uk. But to give you a summary, our 3 hour courses for Medicine and Dentistry are £30 each. And our 2 hour course for Pharmacy is £25. If there are several students from your school that would like to attend our courses, we can do a group 20% discount.

And as previously mentioned we do offer bursary places for disadvantaged students (we send a questionnaire to any students that would like to apply for a bursary place and offer them on a first come first served basis if they meet the criteria.) We can also offer discounted rates for disadvantaged students if our bursary places are full.

Healthcare Academy – Online Resources for Year 9 Students

Our new Healthcare Academy resources, designed for Year 9 students interested in medicine and health subjects, will be available to access towards the end of February.

These pre-recorded resources are available for students to access at their own pace, and will help students develop their understanding of the science behind medicine and disease.

The programme will explore a range of health topics with our current Leeds Medicine and Healthcare students, learn about the skills needed to work in different health professions and about the right pathways into studying towards these careers.

Due to the current restrictions, the programme will initially be delivered online, with students accessing the content at their own pace throughout the year.

As the programme progresses toward the end of the first year and for years 10 and 11, we hope to be able to host live events both online and on our campus in the future.

Please keep an eye on our webpage for registration details.
